Acceptance

A Poem by Nautili

I reached for your hand,

and watched it slip from my grasp.

I waited like a school girl for your call,

But when you finally did,

you were saying goodbye

when my soul was just getting

warmth from your hello.

I dreamed about us,

but I awoke before the dawn,

alone and shaking from the cold.

I closed the window and pulled the comforter

closer.

I said a prayer for you.

Like they say easy come, easy go. Some people do enter our lives for a short time but it don't mean they won't have a big effect.
