Dream

Dream

A Poem by kurohana

The faint sound of footsteps,

Slowly the bed dipped as warm hand touched my cheeks.

I smiled as I open my eyes to peek,

“Welcome home, my love.”

The warmest smile crawled up his face,

Warm as the sun giving grace.

Eyes that reflects mine,

A future that is intertwine.

Overwhelming happiness,

Like magic it brushes all my sadness.

You, my only cure.

Finally you’re here, now I can endure.

My love, my life, my everything.

“I will forever be beside you”

His words like a lullaby,

I closed my eyes as I fell asleep.

The sound of birds chirping,

I smiled as I started turning.

My smile fell and cried heavily.

It was all a dream, I said breathlessly.

A dream I don’t want to wake up.
