High

High

A Poem by kurohana

Everything is just a blur,

As I count one to four.

Spinning endlessly, as I ended up on the floor.

Silence, as a knock came at my door.

My body cold as I lay on the floor.

The knocks won’t stop, but I chose to ignore.

My world is still spinning,

Surprisingly, I can’t stop grinning.

Grins turn to giggle and then laughter.

Louder and louder,

Voices at the other side of the door.

This feels good, I want more!

The pain is fading,

And all the things I tried evading.

My mind is finally calm,

The drug is working as I whisper to sleep.

Aren't drugs fantastic, fly you to the moon and back.
Then they desert you, leaving you soulless.
Some drugs however we need to survive, just to keep us sane at times.
Laughter is free mind you, not enough of it going around just now. Probably why mental illness is so pandemic now. Liked your poem.
