Her Face

Her Face

A Poem by SweetPersephone
"

Written for Veronica, actually :)

"

Red eyes and smeared mascara

round innocent cheeks stained with tears

lips curled down in sad little frowns

earrings jingle as she turns

seeking sanction in my arms

hot face and sniffling nose against my shoulder

holding her tightly as we make our way down the hall

kisssing her brow and wiping problems off her face

whispering comforting words into her ear,

"It'll be alright."

'kisssing' is a typo, sounds like a snake doing it.
