Three Billion Beats

Three Billion Beats

A Poem by kyoung

I recently learned that just about all mammals get only 3 billion beats in their lifetime and how fast or slow the heart beats is what determines our life spans. Hence, this poem.

I only get three billion beats
I think I'll die young
Because you make my heart race
