AprilA Poem by Phillip BrownPresenting National Poetry MonthI'm just like you and countless others; I never took April seriously. Until this year. I'd had plenty of warning " There was my wife's annual humiliation (of me) on the very first day of the month, there were vague whisperings, from the periphery, of National Soft Pretzel Month and the rather more ominous National Heavy Artillery Month, but nothing, Let's face it, carries the weight, the history, and the je ne c'est quoi Of National Poetry Month. What a Fool I've Been. (No pun intended; but only if there was one.)
