A Poem by LadyGreystroke

i saw a yellow bird at six a.m.

the yellow bird was sleeping in a tree.

i stood and watched it sit there in the tree.

it opened up its eyes and then it spoke.

“you’re wasting time you stupid little girl.”

and then it turned and started back to sleep.

the sun didn’t rise for another hour.

the bird slept for another five minutes.

i sat down on the ground and watched it sleep.

it slept up on the very highest branch.

i couldn’t climb that tree so i just watched.

eventually the bird woke back up.

it stared at me until it made me cry.

it flew away and i was left alone.

the yellow bird was gone so i laid down.

i decomposed into the fallen leaves.

i wasted all my time and then i died.

then later on the yellow bird came back.

it had a red bird flying next to it.

they flew down to my corpse and ate my eyes.

The font and style is immediately catching. And then it's get morbid and creepy. I love it! Well... I mean, it's also kind of sad because it feels like the girl was chasing after someone till she died and then the person found someone else and they attack her like in Cinderella. This was awesome. And.. strange. I like strange things. Well done. ^^

Keep Dreaming.
