Daytona beach

Daytona beach

A Poem by Linda alexander

Lunar light bathing the board walk
Those not enjoying walks absorbing the vibes
Overlying bridge calling me in particular
What in the world I need more
Country music spreading all over the air
The aroma from sizzling grills joining the music
The white laughter of waves echoing
There comes my lover to hold me in his arms
Blankets of stars so cozy
Refreshing breeze still caressing my hair
calmer waves hugging the beach shores
There comes my inner peace

and that has to be so different from the sounds of NY which I remember so well.
Inner peace sounds like such a bargain after the wail of sirens and screaming taxis.
Except for the country music, I was enjoying the walk within this poem.
