Alternate Gravity

Alternate Gravity

A Poem by LapseOfMind
"

Just another poem

"
So desperate I find myself
Lonely as I sink below
Lost and entangled
Stuck in the grasp of your gravity
As you stand above
I find that my
Hands remain grasping
For what I know can never be
Your eyes, the sun
My moon is eclipsed
By the heavens above
I'm trapped by the draw of your energy
How can I slow
This pull that you bring
When I can't be transparent
Stuck in this focused reality
It's your eyes when we meet
That enslaves my gaze
And the light that you bring
That is the key to my cage

Cages and questions. Who knows the answer.
"It's your eyes when we meet
That enslaves my gaze
And the light that you bring
That is the key to my cage "
I liked the ending. We can be saved by a kind word and friendship. Many kinds of cages. I enjoyed this poem. You made me think this night. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You never disappoint. Your poems keep getting better and better. Your words are concise and purposeful, and yet fluid and moving. Beautiful as always.
