You were the life I traded heaven for hell

You were the life I traded heaven for hell

A Poem by Lau Thiam Kok

You were the life I traded heaven
for hell and let go my immortality
for curse and took the road to the mortal.

You were my soul I let my heart kept breaking
for the soul from us is far and cannot be bridged
for the abyss in us is deep and cannot be bare.

You are the light wind you are the thin cloud
for now I increase nothing but my age
for now I am the open sea, you increase me.

I really like this poem, I'm not the best with grammer,
personally I thought the flow was dynamic, with heartfelt
well chosen wording, the image seems eternal, great job!
