Ode to the homeless

Ode to the homeless

A Poem by Pretty_as_a_Poet
"

For the homeless man who lives on my street :)

"

Tattered rags

Sleeping bags,

Old eyes full of hope,

Every day,

Dreams array,

In the form of soap,

I don’t see him lots,

But he’s in my thoughts

It seems no one else cares,

For a man who’s lowly,

But more holey,

Than the clothes he wears,

Excellent.
Excellent because of your empathy and your insight.

"But more holey, Than the clothes he wears,".

A great observation into a person's state of being. I think those words are a poem within a poem...and I am jealous. Well done, dear poet.
