Resistance

Resistance

A Poem by Leah Mayes

petulant diffraction

of mystical distraction

my attraction

a hydrolysis of perfect abstraction

the taste of hypnosis

with a hint of synopsis

decantered

I drink the polluted neurosis

with a new velocity

measured by seismic hypocrisy

unveiled

by the sickness of mockery

now I am listless

viewing with ocellus

a pillory

formed by exhausted resistance
