Are we here?

Are we here?

A Poem by Lex
"

What would we do if we found out that God didn't exist?

"

I've just found out

That there is no God

It's kinda depressing

I feel alone all of a sudden

Kind of empty, you know?

I don't like it

I've decided to invent him

God, I mean

Ah ...

I feel better already

Simple and elegant phrasing of a perplexing question.I like the contrast that your style brings to the issue

I think the world would be lost if the existence of God was proven to be false. Who would they ask for guidance? Who would love them when they are alone? Who could be blamed when things when wrong? I like this very much, it made me chuckle :-) Nice one!

Nice. Whatever you need to do to make yourself feel secure. That's what a lot of people do now.

Mmmmm yes, God is the presence one has to come to the realization of, or acceptance of on their own...not because THEY say he is or not! Simple yet a most Powerful write!

this is a lighthearted approach on a usually massive existential issue, it's a refreshing perspective.

Teehee. I love your sense of humor.

This piece, though simple, shows an excellent portion of creativity. Good write, and good job.

You make a very profound point. I choose to believe....however, religion is a different story. Yes, religion ... invention of the DAMNING GOD is what religion brought us. However, with that said, without the thought of a loving God, my life would be empty too.

I LOVED THIS!

I have many questions after reading this piece - if we can't prove the existence of God, how did you find out he doesn't exist? What sort of God did you invent, is He for everyone, or one just for you? As you can see, I found this to be a thought provoking write - which can't be a bad thing. Always good to keep the mind inquiring and seeking.
