Pondering of a Poet

Pondering of a Poet

A Poem by EdenHarper

Keep your feet ahead, it’s the only way to run

When time is money and money is time

People don’t ask questions, just to see a dime

Keep your eyes wide open, under the beating sun

When life is made of time and time is made of life

People forget the good and just recall the strife

Keep your hands working, until the work is done

When words are life and life is the Word

People need truth when comfort is preferred

So, keep your head up, looking to the sky

When the truth is made of words and the Word is the truth

People parade perfection but all are still uncouth.
