darling, i'm not perfect

darling, i'm not perfect

A Poem by lillian

It all fell into my hands

A way of life that I command

I know he looks then looks away

But darling, I’m not perfect.

A wit and charm you can’t replace

An airbrushed smile upon my face

Oh look at me, so cute and fair

But darling, I’m not perfect.

A flawless body so he’ll see

The future is a mere maybe

One look, he’s hooked, intoxicate

But darling, I’m not perfect.

Oh look at me, so drab and bland

As I prance in all name brand

A style chic and filled with glee

But darling I’m not perfect

Once you look beneath my skin

I’m sure there are things to find within

But I cover it well, a smile so pretty

Cause darling, I’m so perfect.
