until the end

until the end

A Poem by amelia.elaine
"

i'm pretty sure this is about my ex, who i wasn't over yet. i just recently got over him, so this poem isn't that old, but i really like the theme of it

"

The world crumbles, as we fall in love.
Buildings burn, windows break.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
I'm not letting go, we'll fall together.

The glass is inbedded in her fingernails,
The smoke begins to clog his lungs,
As they fall to the ground.

They're the only ones left,
The bodies scatter on the ground.
Not a living soul left.

We'll die together, hand in hand.
The worlds not over, not quite yet.
You'll be mine until the end.
I'm fighting the smoke, and loss of blood,
To be yours for three minutes longer.

I really like this! It's quite sad, but in a way it's not sad at all- if that makes sense. Beautifully written.
