Rainbow-Haired Girl

Rainbow-Haired Girl

A Poem by Lindsay Hope
"

A poem about the first girl I ever really fell for. She had very colorful hair.

"

Enamored Is that the correct word?

Intrigued, possibly?

Maybe it was a bit of both, but all I know is you left me craving

All I knew was that I was wrapped up in you

You caught my eye immediately, leaving feelin I was attempting to repress

My feelings were like a bottle of champagne, screw the cork off, every feeling would come pouring out, flowing, with no end in sight

Maybe it was your voice, your laugh?

Maybe it was the way you made every person you spoke to feel like extraordinary, like the were the only one that mattered

Or maybe it was how you had an different hair color every time I saw you, from pink to silver to blue

But you made every shade beautiful

Was it your smile, your lips, your eyes that had me hypnotized?

You had me enamored..intrigued..

Yet I knew you were no good for me

I'd like to ignore the grammar but it does get in the way of the flow for the reader. I don't think you need the word "like" before extraordinary especially since you have the word "like" appear again so soon after. I did enjoy the images you painted...the champagne bottle and the hair color.
