Invidia

Invidia

A Poem by liquidlandmine

I can’t stay and bear much longer,

Another year of longing for unfelt hug,

Wishes and hopes are turning over,

As time capsized with broken vows.

Can envy’s plot remain true?

Or will it remain a plot forever?

Will your hands be my surrender?

Or the stiletto of my rejects.

See me not with bloodshot eyes,

Forsake me only to your side

Torture me with your love

And curse me with my name.

Pedestal star I pray to you,

Spat me with I-love-you’s;

Burn me with your words,

And pierce me with your hugs.

I am no martyr though,

Never a martyr to monotones.

But I am envious, so pure with envy

—I am but envious!

Pen is my lips,

Which will never meet

your paper kiss.
