New York

New York

A Poem by Lady Wolf
"

Just a random thought followed to it's eventual conclusion.

"
Our great cities
LA, Las Vegas, Houston, Miami
They sprawl across the landscape
Slowly spreading like black mold
On old toast

But New York
Is different

Up it goes
People, cars, businesses, buildings
Crammed in tight
Like a can of sardines
No where else to go but up
And up

Like a pimple

Pus filling a once healthy pore
Trapped
Like the sewer rats that invade EVERYTHING
In New York
It steams and roils
Growing redder
Hotter
More painful by the day

So the question is…

To pop or not to pop?

I'm just a student who's always got her head in the clouds. But that's ok, because I find the most wonderful castles up there. more..
