A Poem by Livenrite

A new day has come

With much to be done

It makes me forget

That I am in pain

As time passes by

This feeling doesn't die

I begin to search

For the source of my pain

I look at my hand

and then I understand

Something's in my finger

A splinter is my pain

I only seem to flich

When I give my skin a pinch

So I don't tend to it

I brush off the pain

But little do I know

That this hurt will only grow

My finger begins to swell

With this new dose of pain

My finger is now red

The color begins to spread

Now other people

Are noticng my pain

When the splinter must come out

In agony I shout

I suffered great consequences

Because I tried to hide my pain
