Space Age

Space Age

A Poem by Alexandra Elizabeth
"

for all the time I've been away

"
For all the time I've been away
out where life is but a dream
and thought is still asleep
so wonderful while it lasted
so tragic now its gone

For all the moments spent out there
a million more await me here
and gravity is oh so heavy
after being
all the way out there
and it hurts and aches in every bone
And I don't know what to feel
I don't know what to think
after that time spent in space

And the tears swell on my tongue
and i don't know if its because its late
or because gravity finally won
