Will Freedom Ever Exist

Will Freedom Ever Exist

A Poem by LizardKing

do you think freedom exists
how many lies must be told before you believe
how many friends must you loose
how much blood must be shed in the pursuit of it
could the shaman on the road save you
can the music of the damned open up your mind
would you bend the senses to escape
do you care about love and life
about the lust for power and passion
how many women must you f**k before you find freedom
would you sell your soul for a little control
could days pass like quicksand or like the sand in the hour glass
have you lied at the river as you watch a girl dance naked by the water
inviting you for a simple dip
would you give up everything you have just to be with her
can you see the music killing you inside
yet you can't feel free
it is easy to be anti social
but you act so cool
like the dealer on the street who you call izzy
so if you walked down the steet holding hands with a girl
would you care what people think
so would you walk atop a tall building
and look down reciting the words of a poet
or reciting everything you feel
as a kiss of bliss
runs down your spine
she walks around you touching your face
and looking deep inside your eyes
as you then begin to drink some booze
and kiss her and then say the sweet words
softly spoken by the lizard
so what if you had an endless river spread before your eyes
would you jump in without any thought or would you stand there staring at the night
what i took you to the moon
looked in your eyes
as we penetrated the night with a moonlight kiss
would our passion over take us
and take us too hell
or would you be a little angel and free the poor boy from his prison
do you know freedom exists
as they say in the textbooks
all war is bad and everyone gets along
is it so far fetched to believe that everyone hates eachother
so have played the blues or felt the pain inside
that no matter how hard you try to get rid of them
they are still there
if you say sorry to much because everyone doubts you
so how is the passion lady
that you love so deeply and madly
yet have never met before
would she really want to meet a man
who plays the music and speaks about all the wrongs in the world
who cares about death
I welcome the challenge of it
maybe meet jim morrison and bon scott
drink all night and party all day and f**k as much women as possible
would my passion lady be there with me in the end
i have been down so god damn long that it finally looks like up to me
so if you ever thought that i didn't love you i would feel the pain of the knife
as it goes in my back
love is a dangerous tool it is the card that can bring you down
so as i walked down the street and looking at all the lovers
who hold hands and look at me with disguest
so if i caressed you and held you in my arms
would you sleep so sound and so safe
or would you feel so terrified and affraid of what you see in the eyes
so i ask you does freedom exist
