We used to wait

We used to wait

A Poem by Lizardo
"

Inspire by Arcade's fire: We used to wait

"
I used to see myself
In a mirror
I used to see darkness and sadness in my face
Sometimes I used to wait
For this thing to come at me
I don't know what I was waiting for
But I used to wait

Now I'm here
Changing as times passes by
People sorrouding me
Just come and go
They're never the same
Times changes us as it advences
I used to wait for it
I used to wait for it
I used to wait for it

Sometimes
Everything goes
Tides go and come
Days come and go
Every little thing
Makes us think of this world
When we feel numb or sad
Sometimes we wait for it
But it never comes
It never comes

Like rain falling on our heads
"Here comes another day
Of pure sadness and sorrow
Another morning of breaking myself again"
I used to wait for it
Now I go crazy
Waiting for that time to come

Tired of every word
Or action
Breaking me down
Tired of being throw down
Not taking me serious
I'm still waiting
For them to understand
I'm still waiting for it
As I lose myself in this darkness again
I used to wait for it
But now those are past dreams
Wait
Wait
WAit
WaiT
WaIt
WAit
waIT
Wait for it....

I used to wait at home
I used to wait at school
I used to wait for them to understand

I used to wait for myself......

I used to wait for myself
For myself to wake up
Wake up to reality
A reality so pure and lonely
Around me
Breaking dreams and throwing me down
A system perfect but imperfect
A world full of sadness but yet happy
Pretending
Pretending that we're okay
When we're not
Pretending
I wait for it
I wait for them to understan

I wait
I wait
I wait

Wait for it
WAit for them

I wait....

It was a little on the long side (not that that's bad), but the way you mixed up the stanzas made it read faster. I really like it! I know the feeling to...like, you feel like you have nothing to look forward to and that you are just a robot doing the same thing every day. Maybe that's not the feeling you were talking about, dunno. It's probably different for everybody...I really REALLy like this though, very cool!

I agree with, 'luvs2write', it was a a bit longer than most poems I read, but overall it is pretty good. Maybe you could fix a few spelling errors here and there, but other than that the poem is awesome! It sort of has a classical feel to it (no idea why).
Great job!

You're welcome!! Gosh you keep making me laugh xD
The rawness of this composition is amusing but at the same time promising. Your presentation is always creative, nice! However, it needs a little proofreading. Failing to correct noticeable grammar errors may shatter the wonderful message you are trying to convey. Overall, it's good, keep writing lad. :-)
