You know someone one day

The next thing you know

is that

he or she is gone

So

Whats the point of sharing your feelings to friends 

.....

when they always leave you behind without an answer 

....

So 

I guess 

Friends just go away 

What to expect? 

From old and new ones 

What to feel?

When they are gone 

Questions left unsaid 

Lost truths 

the desire to bring them back to you 

But...

They only go away

I guess that is what we are at best

Leaving everything behind 

Doesn't mean giving up your past 

It means fixing the things 

that we messed up 

It doesn't mean forgetting people 

It means bringing the good friends

with you

To the Future. 

Who cares? 

When we only think for ourself

When we see our friends problems

Bringing him down 

Yet we feel happy 

Because we see someone that is in a worst state than we are

Even though that person is our friend 

We enjoy how people drown in sadness...

We feel powerless 

We feel fear 

Anger

Desire to just...

To just...

Be us. 

....

So 

I guess

Friends just go away

One day your talking to them

The next they're gone

But that farewell

Means someone new 

Is coming to bring happiness back

To our heart.

i feel the sadness and anger of having lost several friends to death, cancer, other diseases, heart attacks....and some just left....but have been blessed with some really close friends i have had for almost all of my life...at my age those friendships are really appreciated...and your poem reminds me of them.
