"time is running out of time"

"time is running out of time"

A Poem by L.C. Jarrette
"

"Every minute counts."

"

"time is running out of time"

What if time, is running out of time?

Hypothetically speaking...

What if the idea of time itself

could cease one day?

If ever that this existing idea or concept

might actually come to pass

then what do you think

will happen, to all of us?

This ridiculous theory

may not come from a man

of a sound mind,

but what if...what if...

What if the moment

before the hands of time stops,

you've realized that you've thrown

most of the things

that matters to you the most.

And then...tick tock,

there it goes,

like a rare diamond

that was never owned.

My dear, regret will be your friend

if you still have debts unpaid.

Spend the most with your loved ones

Carpe diem! Carpe diem! I say...

Then this mysterious phenomenon

may be better left unsaid,

but there's that hypothetical question again -

What if, what if, what if...

The title of this reflects some amazing imagination & then your message supports this idea well. You've prodded the reader for awhile to build some curiosity about your idea, but then you go ahead & deliver some life lessons in the deal. I like it when a poem continues beyond the initial probe, as yours does well, digging deeper, which is what I like in a message. My only drawback was that it seemed you were a little repetitious toward the beginning on variations of the phrase: "what would happen?"

oh yeah...you're right.
L.C. Jarrette,
"time is running out"
This is a concept which is complex and surly beyond me. I only know that life is composed of time. God has created all and can change His reference If He so chooses.
Time is grace in my opinion..we learn, struggle, have joy, etc-etc. If and when time ceases as it will then God being perfect and just has done what is perfect and just.
The question remains what will we do with the one who has created all including time? For God created the world and all that is and He died the perfect sacrifice that we would have perfect life.
Blessings,
Kathy

Very thoughtful. You posed a great problem to us, "what if time stops?" and it creates some open ended food for thought. My only critique, though, is it could be redrafted and reworded at points. for example "What if the idea that time itself could cease one day?" should probably be rephrased as "What if the idea Of time itself could cease one day?"

ah..yes, you're absolutely right.thank you very much for your corrections.really appreciate it.
Was a movie. Time stopped and no-one die. Create a problem. The Twilight zone. All of us at a stand-still. Would be deadly? I liked the thoughts and the questions create by the poetry. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
