Sleep my child

This is a poem I came up with when I was holding my baby sister. I hope you like it :)

Sleep my child for it is night and you yet lack the might to face the worlds endless tasks and in t's shining glory bask.

 

Sleep my child slight and small for from my arms you'll never fall and I will wait until you leap into the world with paths so steep.

 

So sleep my little child sleep for in my arms you'll never weep.
