Animal Form

Animal Form

A Poem by R.L. Davenport
"

The Self

"
Emperor of the crown
The predator of the night
Ancient knowledge of animus
I see no enemy capable
I am overbearing and formidable
One sustained by entirety of darkness
Tis' no stranger to death
Flying abound in freedom
Til my last breath
I am the ghost of your conscious
Guardian of trees
In my animal form
I shall weather any forthcoming storm

Your altered shelf or oedipus complex. Transforming for survival. OK to much. I like it. Good imagery and emotion. Thanks
