Dream

Dream

A Poem by R.L. Davenport

Raindrops, innocence not
Born with morality, forgotten or lost
For the self our souls will rot
Insolence traded for love
To the skies and above

They think of flesh and jokes
Why is nothing,
Always doing the most
Rewarded for your idiocy
Laughing as it shows

There's a certain ruthlessness
In life we all face
Those who try to control
Act like they save
Destroy history to replace

So rest in peace to Notre Dame
Iberian and Visigoth
As Europe falls apart
For our freedom,
Til death do us part
