Pain's Hallucination Has No Exit

Prickled sanity
Fruit to the mouth
Do we dare taste?
Going...gone?
Sting leaves a trace
Highlights the filth
Adds a diamond to dust
Where is the exit?

that insane wasp nest
nestled within the cerebral cortex
thrumming loudly
with a maniacal calliope
so much easier to feed
from the withered teet
we crave damage

not damage control

No mercy from shattered rain

Ether stained metaphor

No bass

No vocal

Random chords resonate

Create soul destroying void

Lick the flesh

From heart's last toll

drenched in broken promises

soaked with disappointments

life wasn't the fairy tale

there was no happily ever after

just the reality of nightmares

bleeding from your walls

staining your security blanket

and the dog has eaten your sucking thumb..

Casting rabid thoughts to hell
Watch faith burn in furious flame
No rainbow
No gain
Blisters shelter pain
Scorpion thrash
Where is the exit?
Sunset screams in vain tone

does the exit lie

in pills

in bottles

in blades

in a hollow-point

in that long peice of braided hemp?

or a bible

or in sex

....or is this the hell the ancients

wrote about

high on desert mushrooms?

What a trip on that mountain of words you guys had....so much space between my head and this page, between gooey gummy dreams spilling into the reality you have created..you touched every issue of life, of choice, of pain...covering each stage like shavings of early chromatin man thawing out to lend this new world a old hand...good stuff
