The Thoughts of a Future Soulmate

The Thoughts of a Future Soulmate

A Poem by Chasity Reynolds

I know that somewhere in the world
You are thinking of me,
Gazing out your window,
Thinking of who I might be.
Am I as lovely as the mid-summer breeze?
Will my voice flow like the honey of a bee?
Will I graze your lips, with a light, teasing kiss?
Oh, how you wonder about me.
Will I love to read for the thrill of it?
Will I be your missing key?
Will we play all day,
Or just relax, and talk, and drink tea?
Oh, the wonder of it all!
Picturing yourself on one knee,
With a ring in your hand saying,
"Will you marry me?"
One day we'll meet,
And one day you'll see,
I was what you always dreamed
I would be.
