Leaving

Leaving

A Poem by louwilding
"

i wrote this last year when dealing with the loss of my husbands grandma a woman i really admired, i know its a little basic but i think it sums up my thoughts well

"

They’re crying as you leave them

Not ready to let you go

Filled with sorrow strong as love

For hugs they’ll never know

They know your pain has ended

Though theirs has just begun

Filled with strength you gave them

Their loss is still too strong

But as time heals their aching hearts

You know they’ll find their way

Because of all the love you gave

Each one on every day

Basic and greeting card perfect...the words we feel but sometimes can not say ourselves. Funny but when I read it I thought of children going off to school. i guess it works for that situation as well.

Yes basic but still full of emotional truth and spoken as one watching the pain of others she cares for. Good honest poetry.

I wonder if one will be forthcoming about the husbands mother. ;p
Im joking of course, I am.
A great tribute to what sounds like a formidable woman.
