Chapter 26

I woke up the next morning in a empty bed, I got up and walked into the kitchen shocked at the sight infront of me

"Am I dreaming, or is Sirius Black cooking something edible?" I asked from the doorway, Sirius looked at me 

"Oi, you hurt me with your cruel words!" he protested, I laughed and walked up to him, kissing him softly

"Joking Sirius, so whats on the famous Sirius Black menu?" I asked

"Well, Bacon butties, basically" he smiled, he kissed me back

"I'll stick with toast thanks" I smirked

"Surely I'm not that bad!" he complained, I laughed

"It's not you, I don't like bacon" I said, he sighed

"Thank god" he said, I smiled and hugged him

"I love you" I said

"Love you too" he replied, 

"Where are the kids?" I asked sitting down at the table, Sirius poured me a cup of tea, I added sugars and stirred it with my finger, although I wasn't putting my finger into the hot liquid, I was letting my powers do the work 

"In their room, playing, and James is finding some clothes for Harry to wear" he answered, I nodded 

"Ok, while I need to go over to the police station today, so I'll ask Ceri if she can take you shopping for some clothes for him" I said, he nodded, 

"That's fine," he agreed Just then I heard my mobile ringing from my bedroom, I jumped up and went to answer

"Hello?" I answered

"Fiona it's Kate, we need your help, a mans just been bought in, arrested for murder, he won't tell us anyone anything until he's spoken to you" she said, 

"What's his name?" I asked

"Uh, Remus Lupin" I gasped, 

"Give me ten minutes" I said

"Ok" she said then she hung up, I quickly got dressed into some clothes, since I was a Senior Constable, I could wear what I wanted, I slipped my shoes on and stuffed everything what I needed into my back, I ran into the kitchen giving Sirius a quick kiss

"What's wrong?" he asked a little shocked

"Remus has just been bought into the station accused of murder, he won't speak to anyone except me, gotta go" I explained quickly, drinking my tea in one gulp "Love you, give my love to the kids, and seeya later" I kissed him once more before ruuning out the flat and getting into the car and driving quickly to the police station. I walked into the reception, and saw Julie, the receptionist

"Interrogation room 1" she said before I even had the chance to ask, I miled in thanks and walked in, I found Remus sitting opposite Kate and Andy, my other collegues, 

"I need to speak to him on my own" I said, they looked up at me

"But he's a murderer, we can't leave him on his own with you" Andy said

"Excuse me, that is my best friend, and godfather of my children, I will not have him spoken about like that, he is not a murderer so if you carry on you'll be in serious trouble" I replied angrily "Now out!" I told them, they jumped up and pratically ran out the room closing the door after them, Remus stood up and we hugged tight "You're in big trouble and smell dreadful" I said, he laughed

"Yeah I know, and just so's you know I didn't murder anyone" he told me, I grabbed his hand and pulled him down so he was sitting down on the chair again 

"I know you didn't, you have to tell me what happened so it can go down on records" he nodded

"Well I was in Cardiff, on my way over to yours because I heard Harry was there, Lucius Malfoy cornered me, he had his wand out and we had a bit of an arguement, he had apparently heard Harry was living with Sirius and you, and he demanded me to tell him where, of course, he got angry and tried shooting curses at me, I dodged but he hit some Muggles, there were police officers already approaching, Malfoy Dissapparated, before I had chance to do the same the Police arrested me, " he explained

"Right for one we can't get Malfoy in here," I said I had an idea "Stay here Rem, I've got an idea" I said

"What're you going you do?" he asked, I held up my hand and winked

"I've got magic" I said

"Fiona it's illegal to use Magic on Muggles" he said

"Yes, Remus, that's for registered Witches or Wizards, I'm not registered" I told him, he laughed, he smiled and I walked out the room, I saw Kate and Andy talking to Julie, I coughed, they looked at me, "All of you in here now" I said, they glanced at eachother then followed me in, I closed the door "Ok, who knows about this whole case?" I asked

"Us, then Charlie" Andy answered, Charlie was a rank above me

"Ok, I'll sort him out later" I said "Ok, this is a complete misunderstanding, Mr Lupin here did not kill the Mug-victims" I quickly corrected 

"Well who did then?" Andy asked "I only saw him" he said, I was getting angry now

"Andy, you are not listening to me, you only saw Mr Lupin because he was standing in front of the real murderer, and plus tell me how can two people die with no injuries?" I asked, I glanced at Remus before looking back at my collegues "I'm sorry about this guys" I apoligised and raised my hands at them focusing on the murder "Obliviate!" I casted a spell, all pairs of eyes went glazed over for a moment, I rushed over and pretended to be worried "Are you guys ok, you look deathly pale, I think you should go home" I said, they both looked at me

"I'm feeling dizzy" Andy said, 

"Yeah me too" Kate agreed

"I thnk I'm going to be sick" Julie added 

"Home now, I'll sort everything out" I said, they nodded and hurried out, I sighed heavily, looking at Remus, he got up and hugged me tight "Come on we better get you out of here" I said and pulled him out of the room, I walked up to the reception desk, leant over and picked up the phone quickly dialling a number "Second receptionist needed, Julie has gone home sick as have PC Andy Davids and PC Kate Harper" I hung up and grabbed the files for Remus' case, just then Ceri ran into the station, holding Harry by his hand, Sirius ran in after "What's wrong?" I asked

"Lucius Malfoy has kidnapped Keira and James" Sirius said,
