Judas Heart

Judas Heart

A Poem by Sarah
"

a set of lyrics I had written for a music class.

"
(Verse)
Eyes of serpent
lips of fire
these were what fooled me.
The serpent spits venomous kisses
regardless of who gets burned.

(Pre-chorus)
And I still remember the words you said to me:

  (Chorus)
“I will lay on your feet and weep
this heart of mine is yours to keep”
what a holy fool I’ve been
you crucify me over again
tearing me apart with a smile
and your Judas heart.

(Verse)
I wear this crown of thorns on my head
as a reminder of all the things that you ever said
(as a reminder of all the things you ever said)

(Pre-chorus)
Ashes fall from the sky
the stars begin to weep
and I begin to bleed

(Chorus)

(Bridge/Pre-chorus)
And I still remember the words you said to me
yes I still remember the words you said to me

(Chorus)
