I HAVE LEARNED

I HAVE LEARNED

A Poem by Lourdes Pessetto
"

Objects and things are nice but not a lasting fulfillment. The most beautiful things in life are free and felt in our hearts.

"

I’ve learned:

That simplicity and humility are essential.

That listening without judgment and respect is honorable.

That joy is found in what the heart feels.

That appreciating our five senses enriches life.

That quiet is peaceful.

That being around nature is nurturing for the soul.

That joy, peace, and restfulness are priority.

That arguing and fighting about small things is draining, tiring, and unpleasant.

That having tolerance and patience helps to maintain your inner peace.

That a quiet mind can appreciate every moment as it unfolds.

That objects and things are nice, but no a lasting fulfillment.

That what will always endure the human spirit is, LOVE!

If we live long enough dear Lourdes. We learn to listen better, talk less and pay attention to the people love. I liked your wisdom shared and I agree with them. Thank you for sharing the amazing words and your thoughts.

Lovely poem Lourdes which has wisdom and truth in it. Material things really are of little value in the overall picture. Thank you for posting.

I think it is important, paramount actually, to hold to some wonderful virtues through this journey called life...I like this piece a lot Lourdes...really lovely and reminds the reader that such things still exist :)

These are all so true and wonderful virtues and ideas to live by. If one seeks a fulfilling life then one need only follow these examples to reach their better self and higher humanity. Thank you Lourdes for this powerful truthful poem that gives us the recipe to a better enlightened life.
