I Dance

I Dance

A Poem by Mary

The beat lifts me

My feet are free

They spin

So I will win

The dance of eternity

It never stops

The pureness of the beat

So I must never stop

Dancing the eternal beat

But I do wonder for my feet

You can see through them like a sheet

What happened to the beat?

And where are my feet

This isn’t so neat

I am now a freak

A freak without feet

No longer with the eternal beat

Was I not worthy of this great feat?

To dance the eternal beat?

Who now will dace and prance

The beat

And never speak

Will our fates be linked?

Victims of the great beat

To much feet it was too hard to follow. change what you rhyme every now and then.

This made me feel a little sad...like how you feel when your dreams are crushed, and you're trying to stay hopeful.
This was really great,I liked it a lot(:

A very interesting and intriguing poem. It almost seems as if the dancer died, I'm not sure, or maybe their dream of dancing died. Very well written. I do like this.
