Aquarium Skipping

Aquarium Skipping

A Poem by luthien7
"

well...

"

I think the fish are starving, dear

you haven't fed them in a year -

The water's green, the glass like milk

the guppies' gulping fecal silk

Guarami watch you walk on by

and soothe the goldfish with a lie

I wonder how the mollies feel?

the plecostomus, he knows the deal.

You've turned your tail to more tropical waters

Chasing after young sea otters.

You're so playful... anger and jealousy are rarely this much fun.

"Fecal silk"- the new milk

What a terrific poem - scans beautifully, gorgeous images and the oh-so-sly double meaning. I really, really liked this and hope to read more!

Hm. It's interesting, I had to read it several times to try and find a possible meaning. So I guess that's good if you got me thinking...
