A Poem by lua
"

listen to the words the world itself speaks

"

we do not understand the word precious

without the fatal blow of loss

and through our eyes the world

is indestructible

we tell ourselves the world is indestructible so

we can be

ignorant

as we destroy it

then as we un-turn our backs

we tell ourselves

we didn’t know that it could be destroyed

and we bury ourselves in lies of our

belief

that everything has a certain fragility and

we are doing our best to preserve what

we take for granted

when in fact

we don’t recognise what is precious until it is the

opposite

until then it is indestructible

as indestructible as our

destructible thoughts

whose mouth is kept shut by

our ego

so that

we look as though

we are the individuals who do not take for granted

what is claimed to be

precious

You are right dear Poet.

The above line is true. We miss what we lost and rarely show appreciating till it is too late. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

This is phenomenal. I had to read it twice, not for clarification but because II liked it so much, read it too fast. I don't know if removing punctuation is a stylistic thing for you, but A) it is bold, and B) it WORKS.

thank you so much, i am so indecisive over whether i like this or not so i'm humbled that you did
We are indeed an unrelenting and destructible bunch, void of responsibility and the bravery that claims it. Weaving our innocence on the pity we gather from things that we lose to recklessness. Well captured, as usual :)
