Guidelines of a loner verse II: Moral Compass

His compass is leading him to destruction

The needle faces south

He is heading down the path of pain and corruption

He fears there is no way out

His mistakes are like scars

They mark him permanently

He is constantly making new ones

He fears for his sanity

Forever guilty

Forever tortured

A mistake of humanity

An abomination

Who deserves no motivation.

Who doesn’t deserved to be saved

He doesn’t deserve contemplation

A mistake of life that by his very presence can ruin a nation

But doesn’t he deserve a second chance?

A chance to change

A chance to repent

A chance to rise up from his dark descent

And walk on the path of redemption

That will one day fulfill his dreams

Doesn’t he deserve to heal his scars

Doesn’t he deserve to hold the seams?

His compass is leading him destruction

The needle faces south

He is heading down the path of pain and corruption

But he stops and turns north

There is a way out

Kinda dark for my personal taste, but well done. You know how to put emotion into your poetry so that it makes the reader feel the same way.
