Spare me the words.

I know why you did what you did. 

I also know that I deserve more

Respect and Love 

Than you ever gave me. 

I'm not bitter.

So i'm a little bitter,

But after all it was a text. 

A mindless, I give up text.

A text that I woke up to. 

A text that broke my heart.

A text that I had to blindly accept

Without a chance to plead my love

Without a chance to ask for love. 

Two years...

That's what I deserve. 

After two years

 A text

While I am on the other side of the country.

At least now I have the chance to love someone better. 

A first love is just a first love and perhaps the second won't flare as bright, but will last the length of a life time.

Very amazing poem about breakups. Even though I have not been through one personally, I can imagine the pain and bitter feelings for the other. The lines felt really smooth, and the wording was simply terrific. I really love the last line, simply brought a more powerful 'oompf!' to the point you were trying to make.

Not always a poem lover, but I can make an exception for this one! :) Amazing job!
