About Me

About Me

A Poem by Maddi Snowden

You said to me
"Don't ever change."

As if I could be anything but
courageous and spontaneous
for it is sewn into my bones like
a secret message written in
invisible ink.

I am filled with oceans of
facts and yet thirst for a
knowledge that may never come.

My paper body is fragile
and you are playing with fire.

have gone down every road, like
the worn in lines on my face, only
to find out that every one
leads back to you.
