The Binding Misery

The Binding Misery

A Poem by Michael Wright

Drifting into the deep dark night.

His soul knows little of the light.

The deep scars hiding his pain.

Fear running within his veins.

Anger dripping down with tears.

Knowing there will be no ending.

None walk with him.

None understand his pain.

All fear his reprise and anger.

Misery has chained him here.

The links large and forge in hell.

None see the struggle deep within.

The Soul condemned by this misery.

There is no escape for this soul.

this reminds me of Dean Koontz's version of Frankenstein...from a third person limited omniscient point of view.
