It was over as quickly as it had begun.

The two young cowboys drew quickly and fired true. Though one man's shot sounded an instant earlier, they both fell.

Yet, it did not end there, as the legend of the duel surely would, but continued as both clutched at their bleeding bellies and coughed, one man losing composure in death with a shameful cry.

I like the direction on this, taking the story straight from the suspenseful moment, and indeed you have achieved an intense plot in less than 100 words! well done :)

Nice little bit of flash fiction. Just two points of punctuation here:
