Shades

Shades

A Poem by Malice Hook

When I'm scared,
I stand up tall
And face my fear,
Shivering and all.
Sometimes I fail,
Sometimes I fall,
But I always go back.

When I'm sad,
I talk it out,
Resolve things,
Leave out the doubt.
Exchange of words
Can help out
And things will get better.

When I'm angry,
I simply breathe,
Count to ten,
And I relieve.
Again I talk,
The anger leaves.
We hold hands and are friends.

When you're around
I crash.
You never get a chance
To see these beautiful
Shades of me.
