That Girl

That Girl

A Poem by Malice Hook

I suppose my syllogism
Hasn't convinced you quite yet.
But the word on the street
Leads me to think
That I'm pulling myself out of debt.

I've more than once been called a bad person;
I've done horrible things that I won't mention.
But I'm changing my ways,
Brightening my days,
And loosening unneeded tension.

And I think you've realized this now;
You look at me different than before.
I couldn't explain,
So showed you in my way
That I'm not that girl anymore.
