Russia

A Poem by Maria Kay Clary
"

This poem is about a time when Russia was different. A change from peasants to Communist peoples.

"
Lost in thought
As the days wear on in fraught
Distaste in your mouth
As everything has gone south
You have no where you belong
So you climb on and sing along
I hope I die in this sickness
Its the only way I will let myself go the quickest
I lay down with the stars
As the new czar
Takes over these scars
Red is all know and see
As the new order comes to full view with this plea
Let us be free and be peasants no more
