A Poem by MARS

a poem about doomsday

Regrets are in their hearts as they face the end
Wondering why these things happened, asking “what have I done?”
Now they shout for mercy from Him who holds the key
But never really understand what He wants them to be

They say “I love you”, “We praise you” as they prophecies
But their hearts are dumb, as cold as ice
When it comes to problems, you heard them babbling
But when it comes to Rules, they feel burden

How long would these people would hide their faces
From the light of truth passed on to all races
Good news are proclaimed to the ends of the earth
Saying ways to be saved untold since birth

But you are always busy on something else
You who always flee to Him when things are unwanted
But would ask Him, "where is He?" when your wish is not granted

Yes, He is merciful but He is fair
He shed mercy for those obedience are there
If you obey His law, receive the price
But if you harden your hearts, consequence will arise

Now tell me if He’s not fair when He warns unto you
That you must stop the lawlessness that aren’t good for you
But you insisted that you are right,
saying “everyone’s doing it, why must not I?”

“Rules are no need!” you even reasoned out
Saying “She doesn’t exist” I heard you yelling out
Now the time has come when it’s hard to flee
Cannot undo the past as it has to be

I wanted to help, but it’s too late
The time is up, now is the date
The day of judgment has come to everyone
Books are open for what you’ve done

I know you’re thinking these must not happen
Now I can see weeping…
I’m sorry…
You should have listened
