Smooth Criminal

fighting the novel coronavirus

As I am writing this poem and making a probe

Thousands of people panic all over the globe

Worrying about someone might come their way, 

A silent killer ready to slay 

Works are affected, classes they suspend

 And ban travelers hopeful to put an end

 To this pandemic all souls fear

 And by all means cause us tear

 Tears on the ground in the mainland

 Where everyone works hand in hand 

Just to devise an effective plan 

To fight against the invisible

That cure is almost impossible

 How long will this catastrophe last?

 Hoping it won't be like in the past

Where people are clueless on what to do 

On how to stop a fearless flu 

Praying with both hands with fear

Hoping it won't be severe

Awaiting it would finally end 

Wishing while all their knees are bend

 Truly this is a perfect time to rely,

 To the Almighty Most High

 I guess actions with faith are better

 In times we need to pray together 🙏

You have summed up the situation quite well
We are told to isolate for 12 weeks. The problem is how do we get food for so long

We went to Iceland on a six weeks camping tour; moving on each day we stocked up with dehydrated camping packs, one meal for each day.
You don't want to go running round shops for food in a strange country

I don't know which country you are in MARS is either up in the sky or a chocolate bar

Where we are it is not so bad (yet) But there are crows today going up on the fells to get out walking
The National Trust has closed all their parks because so many people were visiting
Last night on our TV I turned over the station we were watching had an article about the "Black Death" in 1359 thought it would too near 2020 here
Then found when we turned back it had been taken off

Its the quiet before the storm > Off to the butchers tomorrow > We go once a month to buy in for a month or so
So with tins we have left in the camper van we have 8 or 9 weeks food
Setting out about 06:00 to get there as they open and no crowd
But it is a worry > We were in Spain when the SARS broke out
All the TV pics were about it & we didn't understand the language, but all the pictures were in China or Japan, but we were glad to get back to UK

I've been trying to write a prayer but my loud thoughts cant properly come up with at least a simple prayer. This can be a prayer itself. Thank you for sharing this piece. and Amen on that.
