Saccharine

Saccharine

A Poem by The Musings of Mary H.

I was almost the other woman
More than once,
More than I care
to share.

he was saccharine
in my coffee
Could have caused cancer
I never stuck with it
To find out.

I wanted the real thing.

No one wants to be second to anyone or anything, but at times we are weak and feel it is better to be second then to be nothing at all, that is the real cancer. I think you could have continued with this, given more details, but what you wrote, did get your point across.
