The Discovery Chanelle

The Discovery Chanelle

A Poem by Marquise

Just discovered

my girlfriend had a double life

The whole damn time

she was somebody else’s wife.

The news just broke me,

like Lebron James leaving Cleveland for Miami.

The fling of the summer is now

the coldest story ever told.

You said people are lying,

and if not then who would tell me.

Believe it not baby,

I heard it from your hubby.

And I believe his story.

That’s why you and I are history.

My skin may be tough enough

To withstand a holocaust

But not quite tough enough

to withstand a love lost.

I finally discovered

Why some broken-hearted few

never fully recover

The worst part of the news

Your hubby is my long lost brother…

I don't consider myself a writer because I don't write often, but I have trouble putting words together when I want to express myself verbally. Writing is the one way I can do this successfully. I lov.. more..
