Rememberance of Time

Rememberance of Time

A Poem by Randall Andrews
"

Simple poem about a clock.

"
I have broken
the family clock
that has been in
the family for years

The clock
so old
fell far onto
the hard floor

Forgive me please
I didn't mean it
I'll buy a new one
Just as old.

Breaking any family heirloom is upsetting, and of course clocks hold time and memories..........so hopefully you replaced it without too much notice!
You rarely read poems about clocks, yet they tell us so much.
